MAC Archie's Girls Lipstick Review, Swatches and Photos

MAC's uber hyped up collaborations with animated characters continues with the latest MAC's Archie's Girls.   I was lucky enough to catch this collection early online and today I have a few of the lipsticks. Product photos with flash, swatches in natural light, NC 35 skin. All products are LE and many are already sold out online ($20.00 CA/$16.50 US), but will be available in store and on counter starting tomorrow.

MAC's Archie's Girls: Girl Next Door, Betty Bright, Daddy's Little Girl and Ronnie Red

Girl Next Door (Lustre) - A sheer pale pink with a smidgen of silver shimmer. Not unique but a good color for people with pigmented lips who have a hard time wearing opaque pale pinks.

Betty Bright (Satin) - A bright, almost neon coral with very good pigmentation. Opaque after two passes on my medium skin, but probably opaque after one on lighter skin tones. This color looks brighter in real life than in the photo.

Daddy's Little Girl (Satin) - A bright medium toned pinky violet that is brighter on the skin than in the tube. Excellent pigmentation, opaque in one pass.

Ronnie Red (Matte) - A beautiful blue red with excellent pigmentation and a nice creamy texture. Opaque and saturated after one pass.

I think the selection of shades in this collection are good, albeit not entirely original. Betty Bright and Daddy's Little Girl hit on the current bright trend for lips and Ronnie Red offers up some classic color. MAC also included Girl Next Door and Oh, Oh, Oh (not reviewed) for the less adventurous. I didn't purchase Oh, Oh, Oh as I own it from a previous collection, bit it is a very flattering MLBB color and is effortless to wear.
